The idea of ââ¬Å"mannersâ⬠does sum up the social climate of middle-class England in the nineteenth century. However, if there is one transcending aspect to Victorian England life and society, that aspect is change. Nearly every institution of society was affected by rapid and unforeseeable changes. As some writers greeted them with fear and others embraced the progress, this essay will guide a reader through an important era in English literary history and introduce with the voices thatâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦The time commonly known as years of revolutions and fighting across the Channel, in Britain was completely different. Here, the most vital issue for all citizens was stability and rising standards of living. These three years saw the rise of such works: of Bronte sistersââ¬â¢ Poems, Charlotte Bronteââ¬â¢s Jane Eyre, Emily Bronteââ¬â¢s Wuthering Heights, William Thackerayââ¬â¢s Vanity Fair. The Following twenty years could be seen as the high period of ââ¬ËVictorian novelââ¬â¢. Despite being a mixture of boom and slump, the years of 1850-1870 were recognized by the economic growth. The nation was the richest in the continent, a leader in trade, with the largest city, London. The authors during these years were mainly focused on morality and decorum, although it was sometimes a great challenge. Mostly, novels were mirror-like for public events and scandals. Nevertheless, religious, domestic and Gothic elements also appeared. In 1860 the novel experienced some changes, mainly due to the fact that its new type emerged- sensational fiction. Written as more entertaining form, it appealed to the middle-class women, especially housewives. They were interested in the tales of bigamy, double identity, violence, set in the realities close to what they were familiar with. What is more, during that time the nation had to face two challenges of social quality. Process Model of a Real Estate Business- myassignmenthelp.com
Question: Discuss about theProcess Model of a Real Estate Business for Economics. Answer: Introduction The real estate business in Australia has been very dynamic over the past few years, with a lot of new innovations and changes in the market, as with the real estate agencies. The real estate agents in Australia generally have a very professional attitude and are updated in technological knowledge and general information about the local market, which enables them to present a clear picture to their clients while making a deal (Graff et.al, 1997). The particular feature about the Australian real estate market and the agencies is that there is a great variation in the land specifications owing to geography, and the prices related to that in the market (Bond et.al, 2003). It has been recently noted that prices for housing as well as properties in Australia were comparatively one of the highest while comparison with other parts of the world. The real estate market is very competitive and tough in Australia, with different factors influencing the market, like foreign investments and a high incidence of immigration from other countries (Crowe et.al, 2013). The general working structure of a real estate agency consist two main duties. One is to buy a property or a home, or to sell the same. Depending on the area, Australian real estate agencies trade in small homes, to mansions in exotic locations with extraneous luxury. The real estate agencies in Australia normally work as either a listing agent, who helps in selling the plot, or a buyers agent, who helps a prospective buyer select his home or plot of choice. The working procedure of a real estate agency is simple; the agency acts as a middleman, negotiating the price between the buyer and the seller and acts in favor of its client who could be either of the two (Wills, 2008). The agency charges a fee for their services, which is normally a percentage of the sum of money involved in the real estate deal. The As-Is Process Flow of purchasing a house There are mainly three major roles in the As-Is process flow. They are the Seller, the Realtor and the Buyer. The process flow shifts from the Seller to the Realtor to the Buyer in three transitions. Initially the seller plans to sell the property and passes on the request to the Realtor. A realtor is a person involved in the real estate business who is a licensed authority for buying and selling of a real estate property or a building. The Realtor in an As-Is setting, receives the request of the sale from the buyer initially. Once the request is made, the property is inspected based on the specifications comprehensively. Following this an appraisal is made on the property and an estimated value for the property is fixed. Once the valuation is done, an open home inspection is carried out on the property which makes an assessment of the present condition of the property (Zumpano et.al, 1996). If the condition is deemed to be satisfactory, the feedback is sent to the buyer who decides whether to buy the property or not. If the decision is a yes, the process flow shifts on to Realtor who decides whether the sale is to be done through an auction or by private means. The deal is closed in the final step with the property being purchased by the buyer. The To-Be process flow of buying a house The initial process here is an approval from the seller that he is ready to sell the property. Once the request for the sale is received by the Realtor, the inspection takes place through virtual reality. Advanced Imaging such as 3D modelling is used, which examines the condition of the interiors and the rooms. Virtual reality is used by the buyer who does the inspection of the property through tools which give an interactive feeling. Once the virtual inspection is done, the decision to buy or sell is again made by the buyer who participates in a live, virtual reality based auction. The advantage of using this method is that buyers from remote areas can participate in the auction without any loss of information. The final step here is completed by the buyer who makes the pivotal decision as to whether the purchase has to be made or not. The advantage of using process flows such as the As-Is and To-Be models are that the viewers would get a clear picture in the current setting and how it could be enhanced by technology in the near future. The Literary Paper Essays - Fiction, Literature, New Criticism
The Literary Paper Your assignment is to analyze and interrogate the class's readings from this semester from your own perspective. The purpose of the literary analysis paper is to bring in outside sources to communicate some insight you have about the stories, poems, and plays we've talked about this semester. As with everything we do in class, there is no "right" or "wrong" answer; it's just a matter of supporting your claims with evidence and convincing your audience. Your paper should be about 3-5 pa ges and include a minimum of three sources (though, the texts themselves count). Look for interviews with the authors, scholarly articles written by other experts, or criticism. Your essay should be in MLA format and include a works cited page. The best place to begin with this assignment is to think about what the readings have left you wondering this semester. Think about a question or a discussion that we've had that got you particularly curious. I suggest coming to talk to me about your topic. Here are three basic "prompts" you can choose from: Write a literary paper in which you analyze an author's use of a literary element and explain how it contributes to the piece' s overall theme (For example, how does Flannery O'Connor use irony to depict the lives of women in the old south?). Choose a "lens" to analyze a piece from to discuss a social issue (for example, give a feminist reading of "The Yellow Wallpaper " or a historical reading of "A Rose for Emily," write about the class issues present in " The Death of a Salesman.") How does your lens or approach to this piece of literature shed light on its meaning or significance? Write a literary research paper in which you incorporate primary research, exploring how people respond to different texts. (How do men vs. women react to the poem "Barbie Doll" differently?). Here are some other ideas I had while thinking about this project today -- How do these stories/poems/plays portray the experiences of immigrants in the United States? You could choose perhaps two or three pieces to focus on here, and compare/contrast the way they illustrate the immigrant experience. How does a piece (or pieces) explore, illustrate, or challenge the idea of "American Exceptionalism?" Here, you could perhaps use a contemporary piece and show similarities/differences between it and Winthrop's City on a Hill sermon and/or Common Sense. How do these stories/poems/plays challenge social stereotyping of minorities (or choose a specific group) in the United States? How do these stories/poems/plays portray the experiences those in poverty in America? What makes a piece of literature "feminist?" Here, you would have to do a little research and find a definition of what "feminist" literature means. Then, you could discuss how certain pieces do/don't fit into that definition. Some possible pieces include " The Yellow Wallpaper ," and "Trifles." What image of the "American Dream" do these stories/poems/plays portray? (Or maybe even examine how the idea of the American Dream has developed or changed by comparing/contrasting some of our pieces ). How do different groups of people (age, gender class) interpret (a specific piece of literature) differently? This one would require a little primary research, which can be just as interesting. I would suggest using a short piece, though , like a poem. For example, how do men vs. women react to Poe's "Annabel Lee?" How do authors use irony (or another literary device) to portray the plights of women (or another group of people) ? Good questions Are open-ended and have no clear answer. They are open to interpretation. Have a clear direction Can be explored through analysis and/or research A proposal is due to me by Wednesday, October 11 th First rough draft due Monday, November 13 th Final draft due Wednesday, December 6 In the proposal, give me a brief description of what you plan to write and an outline of your argument
